In mobility, we explored old-fashioned maps, Google Maps, and geocaching and we provided workshops for teachers on how different kinds of maps that can be used in creating and understanding of the environment around us. Within this mobility there were examples and practices of how orienteering can be used as a method in the learning environment around ourselves, we used orienteering on the water as well as on the ground.
Another activity exploring space around us is to understand distances, how close or how far things are. We can measure and compare. In this mobility, we approached space and the environment around us from a historical perspective, how inventions and skills from the past influence today, especially from a technological perspective. We explored ourselves by using different skill sets and approaches and sharing experiences and knowledge. We used media tools to explore and get to know each other and build group awareness.
Teachers were part of excellent good practice examples in outdoor activities at the host organization, they strengthen their teaching competencies in the field of digital skills, interdisciplinary approach, STE(A)M, computational thinking and problem solving during their activities and workshops. They are able to use and promote the obtained experience and skills in their home organizations, and they are able to use new approaches and methods. They are able to use maps and digital tools to explore the environment around them. Participants were involved in the community event and which was an experience for community building around school and shareholders that take an important part in school life. Results and visibility as well as dissemination of results by the project also was an important parts for the participants as a part of project activities.
