The Project

Due to different factors such as technology, cities, migration, development, more homework, parents
fear of the strangers: which avoid children to be outside and meet new people, etc. Nowadays
children have fewer opportu-nities to be outside of their houses and deal with nature and the
mechanisms, which take care of the environment with the real danger this, may have for next
generations.
There has been a lot of evidence about the benefits of nature not only on physical, but also on
children´s psycho-logical well-being, even educational skills as creativity and concentration improve
with the touch of nature. Due to this, greener playgrounds and more activities outside may enable
children to gain effectively in their learning pro-cess and improve their skills to concentrate in their
classrooms.
On the other hand, the opportunity of learning outside in nature links with most of the curricular
subjects such as science, physical education, values, and languages. Pupils will be able to
experience themselves in the middle of nature creatively. Therefore, we strongly believe through this
project we will gain great results and have the chance to share them with our educational
communities and different schools from our European cities and coun-tries.
These are the reasons, which lead us to create this transnational initiative, which will provide to our
students to spend more time outside in nature and share their activities and experiences with all the
schools involved.
The target of the project are:
To provide opportunities to our school teachers to become involved in the activities, exchanging
experiences, ana-lyzing similarities, differences and assessing their practicing to apply them in their
schools.
To implement these activities in the schools so pupils will experience themselves what teachers are
previously done. Host school pupils will perform the activities designed for them during the program
hosted by their school. Then, teachers will perform similar activities in their own schools so we will be
able to observe how cultural and social backgrounds affect the activities outcomes.
Finally yet importantly, and due to the purpose of including all members from our educational
communities in our project, parents will join the activities designed, trying to reproduce the contact
with the nature in their family lives, involving their sons and daughters in outdoor activities as much
as they can.
